Fred Horinek
 Frederick Joseph Horinek, longtime Newkirk area farmer, died Friday morning, May 6, 2016 at his rural Newkirk home.  He was 75.
 A Prayer Service was held at 7 p.m.  in Miller-Stahl Funeral Chapel.    Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rev. Kevin Ratterman as Celebrant.  Interment  followed in Resthaven Memorial Garden, Ponca City.  Miller-Stahl Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
 Those serving as casket bearers were Jake Didlake, Blair Didlake, John Giachino, Kandace Greenwood, Chris Greenwood and Tanner Horinek.
 Memorial funds have been established with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Newkirk Education Foundation. Contributions may be made in Mr. Horinek’s name to either through Eastman National Bank.

John Goad
 John Herbert Goad, longtime Newkirk resident, died late Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2016 at his home. He was 80.
 Following Mr. Goad’s wishes, cremation has been effected under the direction of Miller-Stahl Funeral Service, and there will be no funeral services held.
 Those wishing to may honor John Goad may do so with a contribution to the Alzheimers Association in his name through Eastman National Bank.
